A fire Thursday, March 13, inside a shop building in the 1700 block of Scotland Avenue caused the “complete loss” of the building itself as well as its contents, according to Tarrant County Deputy Fire Marshal Mike Rehfeld. The exact cause of the fire is not known; however, Rehfeld said it began in the immediate area of a lawn tractor the owner had just used and put away. Vehicles ranging from lawn mowers to four-wheelers to fully restored antiques were inside the shop when it burned. Firefighters from Azle FD, La Junta VFD, Eagle Mountain VFD, Lake Worth FD, and Blue Mound FD responded to fight the fire, and the American Red Cross was called in to provide for those firefighters, as well.                               Photo by Carla Noah Stutsman
