Steven “Cole” Baty 1989 – 2016

Steven “Cole” Baty, 27, of Azle, Texas, passed away on June 24, 2016 in Leander, Texas.
Memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Friday, July, 1 at New Hope Baptist Church, 782 New Hope Road, Boyd, Texas 76023.
Cole was born in Fort Worth, Texas to John Baty and Jeri Baty on May 20, 1989. He graduated from Azle High School. He worked as a satellite technician at NOV for two years. He was a veteran of Operation Enduring Freedom while he served in the Army for five years. He was involved in softball, golf, ping-pong, fishing, and hunting.

William Alvin Gayman 1939 – 2016

William Alvin Gayman, 76, a long-time resident of Azle, passed away Tuesday, June 21, 2016 in Weatherford, after a long battle with cancer.
Funeral service was held at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 25, 2016 in Biggers Funeral Chapel.
Bill was born Dec. 19, 1939 in Wellston, Oklahoma, and had retired from the Air Force.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Garold “Jack” and Ova Gayman of Warwick, Oklahoma; and brothers, George and Garold Jr.
Survivors include his wife, Jennifer Gayman of Azle; sons, Richard Gayman and wife Donna of Nevada, Mark Gayman and wife, Danelle of California, Darren of California, Jason Gayman and wife, Stephanie of California, and Billy Gayman and wife, Kelly of Texas; 15 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; brothers, John Gayman and wife, Peggy of North Carolina and Loyed Gayman of Oklahoma; sisters, Sarah, and husband, Jack Robinson of Oklahoma, and Emma Wright of Oklahoma.… Read the rest

William Herman Black left this earth to be with our Lord and Savior on June 21, 2016.
Services were held Friday June 24, 2016 at 3 p.m. at Azleland Cemetery Chapel under the direction of Roberts Family Affordable Funeral Home and Azleland. A reception was held before the service at Azle Church of Christ.
Bill will be dearly missed.
Bill was born March 9, 1932 in Bertram, Texas.
Bill met and later married the love of his life, Vera M. “Bo” Thompson-Black on May 18, 1978 in Parker, Texas.

Mildred Stephenson, 75, passed Friday June 24, 2016.
She was a 39 year resident of Azle and was a retiree of Tandy Electronics in Fort Worth.
Survivors include husband of 57 years, Dale Stephenson; sister, Linda Thomas Jett of Springtown; son, Jerry Thomas and wife, Donna of River Oaks;
Tim Stephenson of Azle; daughter, Debra Rice and husband, Chuck of Springtown; and son, Steve Stephenson and wife Shelly of Weatherford; 24 grandchildren; 25 great- grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Valeta Mae Holloman 1916 – 2016

Valeta Mae Holloman went to be with our Lord, June 26, 2016.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, June 29 from 6-8 p.m. at Biggers Funeral Home.
Graveside service is Thursday at Azleland Memorial.
Valeta was born Oct. 3, 1916 in Parker, Kansas. She was a nurse at the Osawatomie State Hospital for many years. She married Arlie Holloman and they had two daughters and one son.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Arlie and son, Larry Holloman.
Survivors include daughters, Sonja Davis and Pat Nobles; many grandchildren, great- grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

Lloyd Edgar Stuart Dunbar Rutherford of Agassiz, Brittish Columbia died Sunday June 12, 2016 after a lengthy illness.
Born in Nova Scotia Sept. 16, 1922 he served in the Canadian Army during WWII as a member of the Calgary Highlanders.
Preceded in death his wife of 50 years, Helen Rutherford.
Survived by only daughter, Laurie Causey and her husband Hal Causey, as well as three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Richard Leland Lewis, 90, passed into the arms of his Heavenly Father, Tuesday, June 7, 2016.
Service was held Friday, June 10, 2016, at 3:30 p.m. at Greenwood in Fort Worth.
R.L. was born, July 6, 1925, in Crowell, Texas to Samuel & Clara Lewis. He honorably served his country in World War II PTO, where he was awarded three purple hearts and a commendation for valor.
R. L. married the love of his life, Lela Mae Visage on September 7, 1948. They lived in Azle for 52 years.
