Linda Sue Farris 1946 – 2017

Linda Sue Farris, 70, loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt passed away Thursday, May 18, 2017.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
Linda was born Oct. 12, 1946 in Meridian to the late William and Mona Gay. She was a wonderful homemaker and will be missed by her family and friends.
Survivors include her husband, Marshall Farris; sons, Ronnie Smith and Brad Hardee and wife, Becky; grandson, Dylan Smith; granddaughter, Olivia Hardee; brother, Bill Gay, and wife, Linda; niece, Terrie Fisher and husband, Evan.

Mabel Ann Martin McClendon, 82, of Briar, went to be with the Lord on Monday, May 22, 2017.
Graveside service is at 10 a.m. Thursday at Azleland Memorial Park. Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at White’s Azle Funeral Home.

Mabel was born Jan. 31, 1935 in McAllister, Oklahoma to James Phillip (J.P.) and Arby Teen Goodman Martin. She was beautician for more than 50 years and owned and operated McClendon’s Beauty Shop in Briar for 45 years. Lucy Elaine Terry was called to be with the Lord and joined her husband, Virgil, on May 21, 2017 at the age of 92.
Lucy was born to the late Causby and Irma Strong on July 5, 1924 in Lexington, Oklahoma. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend and will be deeply missed by us all.
Lucy was preceded in death by her husband of 71 years, Virgil Terry and brothers, Causby Strong, Jr. and Kendall Strong.

Larry Pat Devazier, Sr., 72, passed away, Monday, May 22, 2017.
Memorial services are scheduled for Wednesday, May 24, 2017 at 11 a.m. at Alexander’s Midway Funeral Home, Springtown.
Larry was born Feb. 28, 1945 in Houston to Emmett and Beatrice Burks Devazier. They both preceded him in death along with a sister, Stoney.
He is survived by his children, Lisa Hill, Larry P. Devazier, Jr. and wife, Patsy, William P. Devazier, and Michael E. Devazier; sisters, Peggy Chapman and husband, Marvin and Dovie Dawson and husband, Glen; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Jean Boyd Linderman Osborn, 95, passed away Friday, May 19, 2017 at home.
Memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 27, at First United Methodist Church of Azle.
Jean was born Nov. 21, 1921 in Medicine Mound, Texas to parents, Denny and Irene Boyd. She grew up with her brother Hugh and sister, Clara in the Dust Bowl and Depression years of the 1920’s and 30’s. After graduating Quanah High School in 1938 Jean attended Texas Wesleyan University in Fort Worth, eventually graduating from West Texas State University, Canyon, Texas, in 1978.

Billy James “Jim” Parker, born Feb. 1, 1935 at home in LeFlore, Oklahoma, passed away May 22, 2017 asleep at home in his chair.
Memorial services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at White’s Azle Chapel.
Visitation is from 6-8 p.m. Thursday at White’s Azle Funeral Home.
Jim was a son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, uncle, teacher and friend to countless precious souls. He was born to a military family and lived in many places including Harve de Grace, Maryland.
Upon graduation he joined the United States Army where he proudly served his country for four years. The Judge was born April 28, 1942 to George and Edith Burdock in Oskaloosa, Iowa.
After graduation from high school in Des Moines, he proceeded to learn the trucking business, where he was an over-the-road driver and member of the Teamsters local 147.

Edith’s passions where her grandkids and her “Hornet football boys.” Edith loved her family and friends and enjoyed being a part of the youth community.
When she had a moment to herself she loved being in her yard taking care of her flowers and camping with the love of her life.
