Azle High School Choir

Members of the Azle High School choir advanced to the state contest held May 25 at the University of Texas campus in Austin. The AHS Women’s Ensemble received an Excellent rating; Megan Rankin’s solo also rated Excellent. Nancy Blomquist, Alexandra LaMaster, Arturo Martinez and Christian McGill each received a Superior rating for their solos, as well. The 2013 Azle choirs feature the first male in 10 years to be selected to All-State Choir; the first Sweepstakes at UIL since 1984 for an Azle varsity women’s choir; six members in All-District or All-Region Choirs; three ensembles advancing to state competition; and six soloists advancing to state.
