Azle FFA will hold its First Annual Trick-or-Treat for Canned Goods Oct. 30-Nov. 5. Azle FFA students will canvas selected neighborhoods Tuesday Nov. 5 collecting filled grocery sacks to help stock the shelves for the Community Caring Center.
The neighborhoods to be visited will receive a flier and bag Wednesday, Oct. 30 notifying them of the event. Anyone who does not receive a flier, but who wishes to make a donation, may bring non-perishables to the Azle High School Agriculture Science Building.
All donations collected by the students will benefit the Azle Community Caring Center. The CCC receives no funding from United Way or any other sources outside the community and is dependent on donations to offer assistance. CCC is in need of food that can easily be made into well-balanced meals. Examples include rice, beans, pasta, spaghetti sauce, peanut butter, jelly, pork and beans, juice boxes, Goldfish, pretzels, granola bars, dry cereal, and oatmeal.
The event is sponsored by the Azle FFA. For more information, contact Azle FFA at (817) 444-5555 x5101.
