Young Hornet squad starts season 0-2

Azle boys hoops coach Eddy Prather knows his Hornets are in a tough district.
After all, the No. 1 4A team resides in 5-4A – Denton Guyer – and Byron Nelson is No. 9.

“We have lots of new kids and injuries have prevented some from playing,” he said.
Azle (0-2) opened with Birdville and fell 55-36.
AHS’ scoring was spread around with Billy Stevens getting six points and Jason Templeton, Ty Fair, and Brandon Martinez adding five apiece.
