Hornets fall to Falcons in season finale

While the 2013 football season ended with a thud following a 56-20 loss at Lake Dallas Nov. 8, AHS coach Devon Dorris saw the future for the 2014 Hornets.
“We are going to get mentally tougher and get the energy to overcome what stops the flows of momentum,” he said.
Against the Falcons, Azle (3-7, 1-6) trailed 14-0 early. But a 9-yard dash by E.J. Salinas pulled the Hornets to 14-7 as the first quarter wound down.
