Freshly graduated Hornet Slayton Vaughan is having a fine summer so far.
At the Texas High School Baseball Coaches Association All-Star Game in Round Rock – Vaughan was the first Azle player to ever compete in the event – he helped the North team win 6-3.
Vaughan went 1-for-2 with an infield single.
Next, Vaughan was selected to be part of the elite Team Texas and play in the Heartland Classic Baseball Tournament conducted in Oklahoma.
