Stormy weather only briefly delayed the first-ever Midnight Madness event that kicked off the Azle High School’s football season.
Scores of Hornets and coaches hit the field about 10 minutes after midnight for the first official two-a-day practice.
It’s all part of head coach Devon Dorris’ efforts to install “Hornet Pride” back into the program, the kind of “community, school, and family” love of the game that he enjoyed when he played here in the early 1990’s, he said.
