ACS opens with a toughie

The football season for the potent Crusaders of Azle Christian School began with a loss to a state-ranked TAPPS team.

ACS (0-1) opened with a tough loss to a solid Abilene Christian school, 72-58.

Despite facing the No. 2 team in TAPPS, the Crusaders piled up over 600 yards of total offense, coach Gary Rushing recalled.

Leading the way was Joey Rosamond who shone by hitting 26-of-36 passes for 370 yards and 7 touchdowns.
