We were bound for Galveston for a family vacation, squeezing it in before school begins.
Leaving the house, the power steering began moaning. It took an hour to get out of town with stops for fluid, food, and gathering up grandchildren. We have music themes for vacations, popular songs of the time like “She Blinded Me with Science” in 1982 and “Waterfalls” in 1995. This time, “Get Lucky” came on the radio. We were not to be very lucky.
