The Lone Ranger movie is showing in theaters now. It is a great movie, even if the critics panned it. The same week that I saw the movie, I also heard a speech over in the Fort Worth Stockyards by a real Ranger.
Wayne Goodman is a Special Ranger who works for the Texas and Southwestern Cattle Raisers Association to catch cattle rustlers and all sorts of other agricultural crime. Goodman showed us a photograph of him and his fellow TSCRA Rangers, which total 29. They all wear a silver badge, a white hat and a gun. At the moment none of them are female.
