Cuban immigrants contribute to Tampa history and vacation

J'Nell-Pate-mugAs readers of this column know, I generally tell stories of the history that I learn from the places I visit while on vacation. I had an unusual trip because I spent a week in the Tacoma, Washington and Portland, Oregon areas, then flew to the Tampa/St. Petersburg area of Florida for another week. I jotted down ideas for “people” stories all along the way.
