News collects honors at state event

The Azle News had its best showing in 10 years at the annual Texas Press Association Better Newspaper Contest June 21 in Corpus Christi.
The News tied for first in overall points, but ended up second thanks to the tie-breaker, losing the coveted Sweepstakes honor to the Pleasanton Express.
The Fredericksburg Standard-Radio Post joined the News and Express with 425 points.
The News collected most of its points via photography.
