Jury sentences Azle man to life without parole

Sexual abuse of 5-year-old continued five years

A Parker County jury convicted a 34-year-old Azle man of four counts of sexually abusing a young girl over a five-year period and sentenced him to life in prison without parole.

Charles Wayne Holbrook was convicted Wednesday, Sept. 25, in the 43rd District Court of continuous sexual abuse of a young child, aggravated sexual assault of a child, and two counts of indecency with a child. The offenses occurred from the time the victim was five years old and continued until age 10.
