Benefit planned for local woman | Fundraiser to help with cancer treatment costs

A fundraiser benefiting the daughter of an Azle Police lieutenant and his wife is slated for 2-6 p.m. Sunday, June 3, at Eagles Nest Sports Grill, 8455 Boat Club Road.
Morgan, age 29, is the daughter of Lt. Bill Russell and his wife, Joylee. She is a 2nd grade teacher in the White Settlement ISD who recently attained a master’s degree in counseling.
Morgan was diagnosed with breast cancer on April 20, and will undergo surgery as well as 16 chemo treatments.
Eagles Nest Sports Grill will donate 10 percent of all food sales to help defray medical expenses for Morgan.
The event will also include a silent auction, raffle, and head-shaving party.
