Longtime Azle officer Martinez retires

With 28 years as a police officer under his belt – 26 and a half of those in Azle – Sgt. Richard Martinez said farewell during a retirement reception in Azle council chambers Friday, May 5.
Current and former Azle police officers, city employees, citizens, friends, and family crowded into council chambers at Azle City Hall to wish Martinez well as he embarks on the next chapter of his life as an evidence technician in the Department of Public Safety (DPS) crime lab in Garland.
