With three new fire engines added to its fleet so far this year, Emergency Services District No. 1 commissioners discussed the sale of a decommissioned engine during a special meeting June 28.
Assistant Fire Chief Stephen Watson said the district received an initial bid of $27,000 for the vehicle.
“Basically, we counter offered at $32,000 and got them to come up to $29,000,” he said.
