More Azle champs crowned

Several local wrestlers turned in some impressive performances at recent tournaments.
Chase Latta has been invited to become a part of Team Texas at the National Junior Duals thanks to his reaching the finals of a qualifier.
Montana Stewart will once again compete for the Team Texas National Junior squad. In 2012, Stewart took All-American honors with a third place finish.
Stewart will once more be coached by Azle’s Monica Allen.
At a freestyle tourney at The Colony, Skylar Russell took the gold in his weight class which qualified him for the Dodge City Regional. Success there sends him to the Schoolboy Finals.
Also competing at The Colony were Hunter Stringer (third), Trevor Russell (fourth), and Harley Stringer (fourth).
Azle High head coach Chris Allen said a former Hornet who competed for AHS before transferring to Keller Fossil Ridge, Dammion Heard, signed to compete for Western State College, a Division II college in Gunnison, Colorado.
