Donald “Don” Dwain Mash 1937 – 2013


Donald “Don” Dwain Mash, 75, beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, passed away Friday, May 10, 2013, in Fort Worth.
The memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 18 at White’s Funeral Chapel in Springtown.
Don was born Aug. 6, 1937, in Italy, Texas to the late Arleigh Mash and Emma Mathers Mash. On July 12, 1956, he married the love of his life, Lacretia Scott and began their life as a United States Coast Guard family living in numerous places on the East and West coasts. After retiring from the Coast Guard, he and his family settled in the Springtown area where he became a deputy sheriff serving both Parker and Wise Counties. He was also the founder of Ben’s Pizza. He had many hobbies where he loved to tinker and was known as a “jack of all trades.”
Don was preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Mary Ruth Person.
Survivors include his wife, Lacretia Mash; daughters, Pamela Carpenter and husband, Dale, Cynthia Scott and Anna Langel; grandsons, Donald Carpenter, Aaron Carpenter, Jeremiah Coan and Ben Scott; granddaughters, Taylor Colemon and Sarah Colemon; brothers, Charles Mash and Earl Mash; and several nieces, nephews and great-grandchildren.
