Food drives benefit Inasmuch, community

The Inasmuch Food Pantry is preparing for the increased grocery needs for hungry families during the upcoming holiday season.
Two Azle groups have volunteered to hold fund raisers for the pantry.

Dr. Jessica Brace will sponsor her second annual food drive by asking her staff, patients and all other Azle residents to bring goods to her office Nov. 4-8. Always requested items are peanut butter, jelly, pasta, mac & cheese, and ramen noodles.

The students, faculty and staff at Azle Junior High have signed on for the fifth consecutive Thanksgiving to donate items for a holiday dinner. From Nov. 1-15, they will collect instant potatoes, stuffing mix, pudding mix, chicken broth, cranberry sauce, and canned vegetables.

Those wishing to donate may drop off food items at Dr. Brace’s office at 237 W. Main Street or at Azle Junior High, 201 School Street during regular business hours.

Cash donations are also welcome.

Inasmuch is partnered with the Tarrant Area Food Bank where the pantry may purchase food for 18 cents per pound. Inasmuch Food Pantry is located at the Eagle Mountain United Methodist Church, 7955 Reed Road. Food is distributed to folks from a three-county area without restriction at least two Mondays each month.
