City seeks MDD board applicants

Voters in the city of Azle approved the creation of a Municipal Development District (MDD) in the recent general election.
Now the city is seeking applicants to fill as many as seven seats on a board of directors for the MDD.
The city council adopted bylaws for the MDD at its regularly meeting held June 4. Those bylaws call for a seven-member board of directors for the MDD.
Because the district only includes the portions of the city of Azle that lie within Tarrant County, board members, as well, must reside within the Azle city limits and in Tarrant County.
The city is accepting applications for these volunteer positions.
