District play starts Fri. at home vs Guyer

With the loss to Cleburne ancient history and a week off to get ready for district play, the football Hornets are ready to face district rivals.

And it’s a toughie right off the bat.

Denton Guyer (2-1) arrives at Hornet Field for the 5-4A opener.

That record is impressive, Azle coach Devon Dorris said. The Wildcats faced tough non-district competition, beating Colleyville Heritage and Flower Mound Marcus. Cedar Hill took Guyer 38-28.
