Azle tumbles in 5-4A opener

Denton Guyer came to town to open district play for the baseball Hornets.
Azle led 2-1 at one time, but lost 5-2 when the Wildcats tallied 3 runs in the top of the seventh inning.
Tommy Kay took the loss despite a strong outing on the mound, fanning 13 of the 17 outs he recorded.
Blake Hall got the final two outs.
AHS’ Jesse Salisbury plated both Hornet runners in the fifth inning.
