Nancy Howard (Henegar) Pennington, 73, of Briar went to see the splendor and beauty of Heaven on Tuesday, Aug. 27, 2013.
A gathering to celebrate Nancy’s life was held Aug. 31, 2013, in The Abundant Life Worship Center. She was laid to rest in the Azleland Cemetery and Memorial Park.
Nancy was born in North Holsten, Virginia to Broaddus and Susie Henegar on Dec. 1, 1939. She married Charles Kenneth Wheeler on Jan. 30, 1960. After his passing, she married Bobby Joe Pennington on Feb. 26, 1969. She was known for her patience, kind spirit, devotion to God and the unconditional love she gave to her family. Her life was a true portrait of the “Virtuous Woman” found in Proverbs.
Nancy was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bobby Pennington; and husband, Kenny Wheeler.
Survivors include her children, Lisa Blanchard of Fort Worth, Keith Wheeler and wife, Julie of Glen Rose, Teresa Kenney and husband, Billy of Briar, Bobby Ray Pennington and wife, Tonya of Weatherford, Belinda Pennington of Azle and Suzan (Bitty) Fields of Briar; grandchildren, Kimberly Mora of Fort Worth, Jeremy Wheeler of Agua Dulce, Amanda Meacham of Ranger, Kandi Wheeler of Dallas, Joshua Wells of Fort Worth, Matthew Morgan of DeLeon, Michael Wells of Fort Worth, Telisha Huerta of Eastland, Krysten Russell of Stephenville, Crystal Showalter of Reinshold, Pennsylvania, Courtney Pennington of Denver, Colorado, McKayla Pennington of North Richland Hills, Nicholas Sharp of Azle, Crystal Rodriguez of Fort Worth, Jensen Woolfolk of Azle, Denim Fields of Briar and Diesel Fields of Briar; 21 great-grandchildren; and sisters, Linda Chapman and husband, Carl of Saltville, Virginia and Martha Cook and husband, Steve of Glade Springs, Virginia.
