Emma Lee Lavender, 86, passed away Thursday, Nov. 14, 2013 with her loving family by her side.
Services were held Monday, Nov. 18, 2013 at Ash Creek Baptist Church under the direction of White’s Azle Funeral Home. Interment followed at New Hope Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to a favorite charity in Emma Lee’s name.
Emma Lee was born Dec. 4, 1926 in Arlington to Rubin and Gladys Williams Dunkin. She graduated from Handley High School and married Robert Jackson Lavender on Sept. 5, 1947. Emma Lee worked for Azle ISD for 15 years, serving as Assistant Tax Assessor Collector. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Those left to cherish her memory are her loving husband, Robert J. “Bob” Lavender; son, Michael Lavender; daughter, Betsy Mulder and husband, Alan; son, Craig Lavender and wife, Nancy; grandchildren, Micah Lavender, Melissa Lotspeich, Chris Mulder, Brandon Lavender and Lindsay Gray; seven great-grandchildren; sister, Nancy Stepp; brother, Don Dunkin; and numerous nieces, nephews and loving friends.
