Stroke Center designation one of 3 THAZ honors

Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Azle (THAZ or Texas Health Azle) regularly collects awards for just about everything one could imagine.
But the hospital has been unusually busy over the last week, when it received national recognition in two different areas – and was designed as a stroke center, as well.
Texas Health Azle is now a Level III Stroke Center, so declared by the Texas Department of State Health Services. To achieve the designation, Texas Health Azle underwent a rigorous survey to determine the hospital’s ability to provide efficient resuscitation, assessment and stabilization of a stroke victim. The designation is for two years.
