Sales tax revenues show steady rise for many, but Springtown, ‘Bay take big hits

combo-taxesThe towns of Springtown and Pelican Bay saw gigantic decreases in their sales tax revenues compared with October 2012.

All other cities in the area saw increases that ranged from modest to healthy.

Springtown suffered a 20.58 percent drop in revenues for this October, from $91,044 in October 2012 to just $72,298 this month. Amazingly, its annualized revenues are only down by 1.27 percent with $743,350 collected so far in calendar year 2013 versus $752,944 during the same period in 2012.
