Azle ISD is taking applications for its free and reduced cost meal program for the 2018-19 school year. Admission to the program is based on a household’s income, whether or not the household receives assistance from federal programs (Head Start, Early Head Start, Even Start, SNAP, WIC, FDPIR or TANF), and/or if the household includes foster children.
Children who are defined as homeless, a runaway, or a migrant also qualify for free meals.
The reduced price for breakfast is $0.30 and $0.40 for lunch, according to information provided by the district’s student nutrition department. Households need to complete only one application for all the students who live there.
Applications for the program must be submitted yearly, whether or not the district approved an application for the previous school year.
To apply, go to azleisd.net and click on the “Departments” tab at the top of the page to find the student nutrition department’s website. The application can be found in the menu on the left side of the page. Completed applications are to be returned to Debra Venable, who can be reached at (817) 444-5115 or email@example.com.
