Elizabeth Ann “Betty” Walsh went to rest in the comfort of our Lord Friday, Sept. 16, 2016, after losing her battle with cancer.

Maurine was born March 28, 1928 in Ackerly to William and Rebecca Williams. She attended Springtown High School where she was an avid volleyball player and graduated in 1936. After refusing a scholarship to Baylor University, she became a dedicated employee to the U.S. Government until she retired.

Lorene was born July 23, 1922 in Grapevine, to Harry and Mae Velte. She worked at Montgomery Ward for over 25 years. She cherished her family and will be remembered as being a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and sister.

Vera Lou Evans, 86, passed away Friday, Sept. 16, 2016.
Graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Friendship Cemetery.
Vera was born Jan. 7, 1930 in Fort Worth. She spent her earlier years in Fort Worth and then moved to Boyd where she graduated high school.
Vera married B.F. Hayes in 1948 and raised a family. She was a Christian woman and was raised in the Baptist church.
She is preceded in death by her first husband, B.F. Hayes; her second husband, Sid Evans; and son, James Hayes.

Mary was very much loved. She was always happy and made people smile no matter where she went. She’s also an organ donor so she will be helping out other children.

Michael William Barthel, 75, a loving husband, father, brother and grandfather went home to be with his Heavenly Father, Wednesday, July 27, 2016 at home.
A memorial service is scheduled for this Saturday at 1 p.m. at Western Star Cowboy Church. Flowers will need to be delivered to the church on Saturday.
Michael was born, May 23, 1941 in Indianapolis, Indiana to Richard Charles and Juanita Piel Barthel. They both preceded him in death along with his son, Scott Barthel. He enjoyed riding his horse on trail rides and was retired from Crowley ISD where he was an HVAC Tech.

Harold Edsel Traffanstedt went home to be with the Lord on Friday, Sept. 9, 2016, surrounded by his loving wife, son, daughter-in-law and grandchildren when he made his journey.
Funeral will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in Greenwood Chapel. Interment: Rendon Cemetery.
Harold was born Dec. 19, 1943, in Fort Worth to Anna and Horace Traffanstedt. He served his country as a U.S. Army sergeant and the National Guard for 17 years. He worked for Lewis Labels in Fort Worth for 21 years before retiring in 2011.

Marsha Miller, 65, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 7, 2016 in Ft. Worth.
A graveside service was held Monday at Springtown Cemetery.
Marsha owned and operated her own beauty shop for over 40 years. She loved her family, saw the good in everyone, and was an amazing cook. She was a fashionable lady that loved her jewelry and was quick to correct anyone with improper behavior or language.
Survivors include her husband, Charles; son, Wade Miller and wife, Kay; sister, Mary Jo Gibson and husband, Bud; grandsons, Austin Miller and wife, Tiffany, Ryan Miller, and David Arenas; great-grandson, Kash Arenas.

Edward Oliver Dozier, age 85, passed away on Tuesday, Sept. 6, 2016. Edward was buried at Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park on Monday immediately after his funeral service.
Edward was born in 1931 to Freda and Rennon Oliver Dozier in Norfolk, Virginia. He was one of 5 children.
Eddie proudly served as a Marine during the Korean War. He was loved and will be missed.

Rodney “Rod” Roderick, 71, passed away Friday, Sept. 9, 2016 with his loving family by his side.
