Stink to think: Loving your body emissions

It’s been a long time since I’ve had to start a column with a disclaimer but…some people might find the following disgusting and stupid. Oh, and it also has f-words in it.

A “recent British study” (is there any other kind?) has shown that passing gas can be tremendously beneficial to your health – and to that of those around you. I don’t know how these studies get done or funded or what poor souls have to undergo the discernment and compilation of evidence, but I’m glad they did.
According to “Dr. Nandi” on Facebook – I think he’s real because his profile picture shows him wearing a white medical jacket – pooting not only helps you live longer but might actually prevent dementia.… Read the rest

Geoffrey L. Day, 51, passed away Monday, May 30, 2016. Inurnment will be held at a later date in Ash Creek Cemetery under the direction of White’s Azle Funeral Home.
Geoffrey was born April 13, 1965 in Los Angeles, California to Edward and Janet Day. He had been a heavy equipment operator for 35 years.
Geoffrey was preceded in death by his mother.
Survivors include father, Edward Day; sister, Kathleen Day-Guidry.

Myrtle Fay Jackson of Fort Worth was 93 years old.   Services to be held Wednesday, May 25, 2016 at Azleland’s Cemetery Chapel at 850 N. Cardinal Road, Azle, Texas.  Visitation will be 12 – 2 p. m. followed by the service at 2 p.m.
Myrtle was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Jackson, son, David Lee Jackson and great grandson, Jonathan Jackson.
Survivors include sons, Eddie and Roger Jackson, both of Azle, Texas and daughter, Pamalee Hodges of Azle, Texas.

Loren (Lonnie) Patrick Shay, 72, passed away Sunday, May 8 at his home, with his loving family by his side.
Lonnie was a husband, veteran, father, award winning scale train modeler, horseman, gardener and hot chili pepper aficionado.
Loren met and married the love of his life Dianne in California where they raised two children, Lori and Daniel (Danny).
Lonnie honorably served his country during the Vietnam War with the US Army 199th LIB “Redcatchers”.
Sgt. Shay was awarded the Purple Heart, Army Commendation, Good Conduct, National Defense, Vietnam Service, and Republic Of Vietnam Campaign Medals.

William K Laskowski, 63, of Azle, Texas passed away at the home of his best friends on Wednesday May 18, 2016 after succumbing to cancer.
Born in Erie, Pennsylvania on May 27, 1952, he was the son of Matthew and Jacqueline (Carney) Laskowski.
“Five Golden Kings.”
Bill was a graduate of Saint Ann’s School and East High. Bill was known as the “mayor” for always saying “First one of the day” and “October 5”
Bill enjoyed golf, shooting pool, riding his bike and online eight liners. He was a member of the Erie General Electric UE 506, worked maintenance at the Cross Timbers Golf Course in Azle, Texas and as a welding inspection supervisor for Segnal Metal Industries in Azle, Texas.… Read the rest

Ida was born June 12, 1945 to parents Jim and Oma Jones. She was married to Dick Green in 1962 and they were married for 49 years before he passed in 2010. They made their home in Azle in 1972. Dick was the love of her life. They knew each other three months before they were married.
