Hellen Jean Vess Baker, 77, a loving mother, sister and grandmother, passed away peacefully, Tuesday, June 28, 2016 in Decatur.
A private service will be held at a later date.
Hellen was born, Oct. 24, 1938 in Fort Worth to Floyd Redford and Imogene Gaston Vess.
She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Kathy Vess; and siblings, Blanche, Carol, Auldon “Whitey” and Dorothy.
Survivors include her son, Jack Allen and wife, Traci; daughter, Diane Cowherd and husband, Calvin; sister, Ethel Vess; grandchildren, Jackie III, Kevin, Michael, Brendon, Quaid, Elizabeth, LaDortha, Shelby and Jenna; great-grandchildren, Onner, Mason, Ruben, Paxton and Carter.… Read the rest

Ricky Lee Jones, 34, of Fort Worth, Texas passed away on July 2, 2016.
Services are to be determined at this time. While the family is greatly saddened by Ricky’s leaving this earth, they rejoice and celebrate his new beginning with our Lord and Savior in his new home in the eternal Kingdom of Heaven.

April Michelle Holmes passed away on June 21, 2016 in Fort Worth.
April was born on March 7, 1981 in Fort Worth, to her parents, Jimmy Keith Kennedy and Sarah Crowley.

April is preceded in death by her mother, Sarah Crowley, sister Crystal Kennedy, grandparents, Jimmy K. Kennedy and Hazel Kennedy, uncles; Roger Meredith and Anthony Kennedy.
Survivors include her father, Jimmy K. Kennedy and stepmom Tonya Kennedy; sisters, Amanda and husband, Bobby Burleson; brother, Keith Kennedy and wife, Jennifer Kennedy; aunt, Ronda Meredith along with four nephews and many other loving family and friends.

Melba Lanier, 96, passed away Saturday, July 2, 2016 in Weatherford.
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 6, 2016 at the First United Methodist Church, Azle.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at White’s Funeral Home, Azle. Interment will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Garden of Memories in Lufkin.
Melba was born June 9, 1920 in Lufkin to the late David and Lula Rowin.
She was preceded in death by her husbands; parents and daughter-in-law, Ann Fuller.

Imo Lee Greenwood, 91, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 4, 2016. She is now with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Imo elected to be cremated and so no service is planned. We will sprinkle her ashes at her special place.
Imo was born on Oct. 19, 1924 in Hollis, Oklahoma to Urban Edward and Luella Renfro Card. She was an avid golfer and loved spending time on the golf course with the love of her life, Charles Greenwood. She loved her family dearly and loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Imo will forever be missed.

Steven “Cole” Baty, 27, of Azle, Texas, passed away on June 24, 2016 in Leander, Texas.
Memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Friday, July, 1 at New Hope Baptist Church, 782 New Hope Road, Boyd, Texas 76023.
Cole was born in Fort Worth, Texas to John Baty and Jeri Baty on May 20, 1989. He graduated from Azle High School. He worked as a satellite technician at NOV for two years. He was a veteran of Operation Enduring Freedom while he served in the Army for five years. He was involved in softball, golf, ping-pong, fishing, and hunting.

William Alvin Gayman, 76, a long-time resident of Azle, passed away Tuesday, June 21, 2016 in Weatherford, after a long battle with cancer.
Funeral service was held at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 25, 2016 in Biggers Funeral Chapel.
Bill was born Dec. 19, 1939 in Wellston, Oklahoma, and had retired from the Air Force.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Garold “Jack” and Ova Gayman of Warwick, Oklahoma; and brothers, George and Garold Jr.

William Herman Black left this earth to be with our Lord and Savior on June 21, 2016.
Services were held Friday June 24, 2016 at 3 p.m. at Azleland Cemetery Chapel under the direction of Roberts Family Affordable Funeral Home and Azleland. A reception was held before the service at Azle Church of Christ.
Bill will be dearly missed.
Bill was born March 9, 1932 in Bertram, Texas.
Bill met and later married the love of his life, Vera M. “Bo” Thompson-Black on May 18, 1978 in Parker, Texas.

She was a 39 year resident of Azle and was a retiree of Tandy Electronics in Fort Worth.
Survivors include husband of 57 years, Dale Stephenson; sister, Linda Thomas Jett of Springtown; son, Jerry Thomas and wife, Donna of River Oaks;
Tim Stephenson of Azle; daughter, Debra Rice and husband, Chuck of Springtown; and son, Steve Stephenson and wife Shelly of Weatherford; 24 grandchildren; 25 great- grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Valeta Mae Holloman 1916 – 2016

Valeta Mae Holloman went to be with our Lord, June 26, 2016.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, June 29 from 6-8 p.m. at Biggers Funeral Home.
Graveside service is Thursday at Azleland Memorial.
Valeta was born Oct. 3, 1916 in Parker, Kansas. She was a nurse at the Osawatomie State Hospital for many years. She married Arlie Holloman and they had two daughters and one son.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Arlie and son, Larry Holloman.
Survivors include daughters, Sonja Davis and Pat Nobles; many grandchildren, great- grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
