Sherry Lynn Miller-Horn 2017

Sherry Lynn Miller-Horn, 38, quietly slipped into the arms of her Heavenly Father on May 9, 2017 at her parent’s home. Sherry lost her battle with cancer was a fighter right up until the end. She loved her family more than anything in the world and she will be dearly missed.
Services were held Friday May 12, 2017.

Edward Price Day 1937 – 2017

Edward Price Day, 79, went to be with our Lord and his family and friends Feb. 27, 2017 at his home.
A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held at 1 p.m., Friday, May 26 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 1313 S. E. Parkway, Azle, Texas 76020.
His interment took place under the direction of White’s Azle Funeral Home on March 10, 2017 at Ash Creek Cemetery next to his wife, Janet and their son, Geoff.
Edward was born Dec. 29, 1937 in Adrian, Michigan to Price Edward and Alma Marie Reed Day. He graduated from Addison High School in 1955 and attended Michigan State University until 1957.… Read the rest

Judy Ann Smith Gribble, 57, passed away, Friday, April 28, 2017 at home.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m., Friday, May 5, 2017 at Alexander’s Midway Funeral Home. Cremation followed.
Judy was born in Tulia to Frank and Emily Standridge Smith.
She is survived by her devoted husband of 40 years, Bobby; son, Bobby Gribble Jr. and wife, Robin; daughter, Emily Davis; son, Frankie Gribble; sisters, Fran Parker and husband, John and Debbie Ferrell; brothers, Joe Smith and wife, Sally and Jamie Smith and wife, Tammy; grandchildren, Caleb, Justin, Dustin, Austin, Sierra, Sarah, Zachary, Stormie and Victoria.

Francis “Frank” Mayo, 56, passed away Thursday, May 4, 2017.
Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, May 12, 2017 at White’s Azle Funeral Home, 105 Denver Trail, Azle, 76020. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
Frank was preceded in death by his father, James Mayo; sister, Rose Wilhite; and nephews, Jason Henderson and Tanner Mayo.
Survivors include his mother, Joann Mayo; siblings, Shelley Freeman, Jim Mayo, and Terri Smith; and many nieces, nephews, other family members, and friends.

Johnny Pruitt, 67, passed away on Monday, May 1, 2017.
Services were held, Thursday, May 4, 2017, Martin Thompson & Son Funeral Home.
Johnny was born on Aug. 28, 1949 in Red River County to Clarence and Johnnie Elaine Pruitt. He enjoyed fishing, smoking meat and music. His children, grandchildren and his dog Otis were everything to him.
Johnny was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Cheryl Pruitt; brother, Clarence Pruitt; sister, Peggy Smyers; and his angel puppy, Annie.

Rhonald “Rooster” Brown, Sr., 74, loving husband, father and grandfather, passed away Saturday, May 6, 2017.
Inurnment is at 10 a.m. Friday, May 12, 2017 at Jaybird Cemetery under the direction of White’s Azle Funeral Home.
Rhonald was born in Dallas on July 18, 1942 to Hugh and Mildred Brown. He loved to be outdoors and collecting western memorabilia. Rooster as he was fondly called had worked for many years in the meat packing business.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Raymond Brown and son, Brandon.

Mary Spry, 81, passed away peacefully, Sunday, April 30, 2017.

Mary was born Aug. 10, 1935 in England to Charles and Violet Line Vorley.
They preceded her in death along with her son, David Alan Spry.

Elise Lacroix Cire, 87, passed away April 22, 2017 in Fort Worth, Texas.
Graveside service is at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 10, 2017 in Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery.
Elise was born July 31, 1929 in Colfax, Louisiana to the late, William J. and Mary Elise (Chapman) LaCroix. Mary, her mother, passed away when Elise was born and her father would later marry her step-mother, Margaret. She came to be the oldest of three children and grew up in Colfax with her two brothers. Elise met, Marshall Cire from nearby Alexandria and they married Feb. 14, 1947.
Following Marshall’s work as an engineer in Aerospace, they would come to live in Georgia, Tennessee, Louisiana and finally Texas in 1979.… Read the rest

Dean (Larry) Parker, 73, peacefully passed away April 19, 2017 at his home in Arlington, TX, following a stoic battle with cancer.
A memorial service will be held Friday, May 12, 2017 at 7 p.m. at the Cathedral of Hope Interfaith Peace Chapel, Dallas, with calling one hour before, and after the service.
Preferred memorials are to the Texas Discovery Gardens, Dallas.
