Karate kids take titles

A slew of Azle Karate for Kids athletes were state and district champs.
Madison Schultz took the state title in combat weapons.
Bailey Baker was crowned the best in Texas in creative weapons and Xtreme weapons.
Mykayla Sardina won state in creative weapons and creative forms.
Mark Baca, a fourth degree black belt, took state in Xtreme weapons, creative forms, Xtreme forms, and creative forms.
District champs included:
Don May (5th degree black belt) – combat weapons
Baker – creative forms, Xtreme weapons
Sardina – creative weapons, creative forms
Torie Coleman – Xtreme weapons, Xtreme forms, creative weapons.
Tournament scores were kept throughout the year over a four-state district – Louisiana, New Mexico, Arkansas, and Texas.
