Richard D. Whitt, 71, passed away Sunday, June 2, 2013, at his home with his loving family at his side.
The service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, June 6 at the Azle Church of Christ, 336 NW Parkway, Azle. Interment will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, June 7 at Sinnett Cemetery, Cleveland, Oklahoma. Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, June 5 at White’s Azle Funeral Home. Contributions may be made to the Azle Memorial Library or Azle Church of Christ in Richard’s name.
Richard was born in Bonham to Loy and Lola Whitt. He honorably served his country in the United States Army. He and wife, Judy were married Sept. 23, 1966. He was a member of the Azle Church of Christ. He retired from Bell Helicopter after 39 years. He loved bass fishing and hunting with his friends and classic cars.
Richard was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers; and one sister.
Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Judy Whitt of Azle; sons, Richie Whitt and wife, Delisa of Boyd and Rusty Whitt and wife, Amber of Lafayette, Louisiana; grandchildren, Holly and Mason Whitt; and a host of loving friends.
