Azle ISD officials have called off classes for a fourth day due to both poor road conditions and a major water main break at Azle High School. The district’s statement is as follows:
Due to poor road conditions and a break in one of the main water lines that feeds Azle High School, Azle ISD schools will be closed tomorrow, Dec. 11.
Many of our neighborhoods that have shaded roads and driveways have not experienced a complete thaw. With lows tonight expected to reach into the mid 20’s any roads not thawed will refreeze.
At about 2 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 10, a break in one of the main water lines that feed Azle High School was discovered. The break is behind the high school and feeds about two-thirds of the high school including the cafeteria.
We appreciate your patience and understanding.
