Azle resident and author Randa Goode will release her new young adult paranormal book Saving Scarlett at a book release event from 2-5 p.m. this Sunday, Oct. 13 at the gazebo in Azle’s Central Park.
The book will be available at the discounted price of $10 during the event only – otherwise, it is only available at Amazon.com for $12.99. Copies of Goode’s other works will also be available for purchase. Light refreshments will be provided.
Saving Scarlett, published through Trail Media, tells the story of Scarlett Young, who has big plans after her high school graduation if she can just survive the summer. But when she discovers a dark connection between mysterious nineteen-year-old Riley Shelton and the wicked creature lurking along the outer edges of Lost Creek, she realizes that may be harder than she thought.
Danger continues to grow as Scarlett searches for answers, finding that the people in Lost Creek are not always what they seem, including Blake, the charismatic next door neighbor. Yet with his help, she may be able to expose the truth before it’s too late. But if she’s not careful, she may not be able to save anyone…including herself.
