June 19, 2013

Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Azle has named Keegan Miller, D.O., as medical director of emergency services.
In his new role, Dr. Miller will continue to drive clinical integration, advance quality and patient safety, and improve overall patient satisfaction.
“Dr. Miller is an invaluable asset to the hospital,” said Bob Ellzey, FACHE, president of Texas Health Azle. “He is an active participant in our ongoing quality improvement activities. I know he will assume his new role with the same level of dedication and commitment that he has always given to caring for the people of this community.”
Dr. Miller joined the medical staff at Texas Health Azle in July 2011. He previously served as an emergency medicine physician at the University of Tennessee Medical Center. He received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Texas Wesleyan University and a medical degree from the University of North Texas Health Science Center.
Dr. Miller is a member of the American College of Emergency Physicians, the American Medical Association, Society of Academic Emergency Medicine, American Board of Emergency Medicine, and the American Osteopathic Association.
As an accredited Level IV trauma center, Texas Health Azle is one of the busiest hospitals in northwest Tarrant County, operating a seven-bed emergency department that sees an average of 70 patients each day. Under the direction of Dr. Miller, the hospital hopes to add a stroke center accreditation in late 2013.
